I'm still blogging

Do you ever just get in a blogging slump? While you still read blogs but yours takes a backseat, that is where I have been with mine for the last month. I have had thoughts of what I wanted to post here, but just have not had the time or motivation to actually sit down and post anything.

One thing that has kept me busy is the Bible Study I was doing with a group of ladies. Last week we finished up a study by Priscilla Shirer.

I have done several Bible studies before and I have to say that this has been one of my favorite studies. If you ever get the opportunity to go through this study, I urge you to do so.

A few weeks ago I saw a mimosa tree blooming, (I didn't have my camera with me) and it brought back memories from when I was a little girl.

My Papa had a mimosa tree in his front yard, and it was the best climbing tree. I can't tell you how many hours I would spend climbing in that tree. One of the first things I would do as soon as we would get to Papa's house would be to head straight to that tree and start climbing. I can still hear Papa's voice, "Tinker (that's what he would call me), you better come give me some sugar before you start up that tree."  Of course I would giggle and run to him. I miss him so much. I am so thankful for the times that I had with him. He passed away twenty one years ago this month.

My kids have finished school and are ready for some summer fun. While most summers for us are pretty low key and we just hang out. This one will be busier than most. My sisters boys will be staying with us for a couple of days. I am so looking forward to having them with us. Then we have birthdays galore this month. We'll be celebrating Tyler's birthday on Saturday, he will be 15 next week. This momma can't talk about that right now or I might just start crying. Then later in the month we will be celebrating Waylon & Wyatt's birthday.  Of course we will try and get some swimming time in this summer. There will also be a BIG CHANGE for our family this summer, more on that in a few weeks.

Wishing everyone a happy fun filled summer!
